On March 16, 2016, Nizar M. Tannir, M.D., FACP, professor and deputy chair of the department of genitourinary medical oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, discussed the latest current immunotherapy treatment options for patients with kidney cancer, and how close we are to making these treatments available to more patients.
Dr. Tannir has conducted numerous clinical trials in renal cell carcinoma (RCC), and is an expert on rare kidney cancers. Dr. Tannir has authored more than 150 original manuscripts and has received numerous awards, including the Gerald P. Bodey Award for Excellence in Education and the Melvin L. Samuels Award for Excellence in Patient Care.
