Michael M. Kellen is vice chairman and director of First Eagle Investment Management. He also currently serves as co-president and co-chief executive officer of Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder Holdings, Inc.
Mr. Kellen joined the firm in 1978 as the porfolio manager of an offshore U.S. equities fund, and later served as director of research, sales, and trading. In 1987, he co-founded the First Eagle Fund of America, a U.S. registered mutual fund, which he managed until 1991. Mr. Kellen now manages assets in a dedicated portion of the firm's offshore fund-of-funds portfolio and also manages other individual accounts.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kellen was a portfolio manager and securities analyst at the Office of William T. Golden, a private investment group. Before that, he was a securities analyst at Clark, Dodge, Inc. Mr. Kellen obtained a BA from Harvard College in 1966 with a major in economics. He is married with three children and resides in Manhattan.
Mr. Kellen joined the Cancer Research Institute Board of Trustees in April 2009.
