The Daniel James McMahon Memorial Golf Outing

Welcome to the 1st Annual Daniel James McMahon Memorial Golf Outing

Join us for an unforgettable day filled with golf, community, and celebration as we pay tribute to Dan McMahon, a beloved Rockford musician, producer, and connector who passed away at the age of 41 on September 19, 2024, after battling esophageal cancer. Dan was widely known for composing music for the 2012 Academy Award-winning documentary Undefeated, leading the two-time RAMI Award-winning recording studio The Midwest Sound, serving as a founding member and the lead guitarist for Miles Nielsen and The Rusted Hearts, and playing many legendary shows as the lead singer and guitarist for Bun E Carlos’ Monday Night Band. This event is inspired by his enduring legacy of bringing people together through music, kindness, and connection.

The 1st Annual Daniel James McMahon Memorial Golf Outing raises funds for wellness initiatives and esophageal cancer research, awareness, and support through The Cancer Research Institute.
