Treating Stomach, GI, and Colorectal Cancers with Immunotherapy

While traditional treatments are good options when cancer is caught early, patients with advanced cases of stomach cancer and colorectal cancer have far fewer options.

In this webinar, Dustin A. Deming, MD, discusses the immunotherapy landscape for patients with stomach, gastrointestinal (GI), and colorectal (CRC) cancers, highlights the most effective immunotherapies currently available to patients, and explains how promising immune-based strategies have the potential to benefit patients even more.

Dr. Deming is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health as well as a practicing gastrointestinal oncologist at the University Hospital and the William S Middleton Veterans Hospital. Clinically, he specializes in treating colon, rectal and anal cancers, and has developed the concepts for and chaired several phase I clinical trials.  Additionally, with his research and translational efforts, Dr. Deming aims to fundamentally change the way we treat gastrointestinal cancers through the development of more personalized approaches.

The "Cancer Immunotherapy and You" webinar series is produced by the Cancer Research Institute and is made possible with generous support from Bristol-Myers Squibb, Genentech, Regeneron, and Advaxis.
