Dr. Zhang is developing next-generation engineered T-cell therapies for leukemia and other blood cancers by targeting abnormal proteins created by RNA splicing mutations. These neoantigens are often found in many patients, creating the opportunity for broadly applicable precision therapies. He has also designed a novel single-chain TCR-T platform that combines the specificity of T-cell receptors with the stronger signaling architecture of CAR T cells, potentially improving potency against difficult cancers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Zhang has built an impressive track record in hematologic cancer research, with publications in Cancer Discovery, Cell, and Cancer Cell. He has presented his work at the American Society of Hematology and received a Damon Runyon Postdoctoral Fellowship to support his training at Memorial Sloan Kettering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
