{"id":11492,"date":"2022-07-01T20:40:29","date_gmt":"2022-07-02T00:40:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cancerresearch.org\/event\/cim21-instagram-takeover-with-cancer-patient-advocate-kristin\/"},"modified":"2022-07-14T15:46:24","modified_gmt":"2022-07-14T19:46:24","slug":"cim21-instagram-takeover-kristin-patient-advocate","status":"publish","type":"cri_events","link":"https:\/\/www.cancerresearch.org\/es\/events\/cim21-instagram-takeover-kristin-patient-advocate","title":{"rendered":"CIM21 Instagram Takeover with Cancer Patient Advocate Kristin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday, June 18, CRI ImmunoAdvocate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cancerresearch.org\/connect-with-immunoadvocates\/featured-stories\/kristin-k\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kristin Kleinhofer<\/a>, will take over the Cancer Research Institute Instagram account (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/cancerresearchinstitute\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">@cancerresearchinstitute<\/a>) and share her experience with cancer immunotherapy.<\/p>\n<p>Kristin was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in August 2010. When standard treatments failed to keep Kristin&#39;s cancer at bay, she enrolled in a phase 1 clinical trial of CAR T cell therapy at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. She was one of the first patients to receive this therapy in an outpatient setting and was amongst 93% of patients in trial that reached remission.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/dFKTT0DIULA\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"560\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Today, Kristin is cancer-free and passionate about spreading awareness of cancer immunotherapy.
