Gary Kelloff (NCI) and Eric Rubin (Merck), brings together experts from academia, pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, not-for-profit organizations, the NIH, and the FDA to participate in a scientific symposium to review advances in the field of biomarker and regulatory science that are relevant to the development of new public-private partnerships for precompetitive biomarkers. The FNIH Biomarkers Consortium&rsquo;s CSC Symposium thus serves as a juncture each year to assess and recalibrate future directions in biomarker discovery and development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CRI&#39;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cancerresearch.org\/our-team\/staff\/jun-tang-phd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jun Tang, PhD<\/a>, senior manager, CRI Venture Fund and Clinical Accelerator, is presenting the latest update on the PD1\/L1 landscape.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"btnArrow\" href=\"\/scientistshttps:\/\/www.cancerresearch.org\/pd-1-pd-l1-landscape\">View the&nbsp;PD1\/L1 Landscape<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In 2018, the FNIH&nbsp;and CRI&nbsp;announced that FNIH selected CRI to be its source of landscape intelligence in immuno-oncology. FNIH uses&nbsp;data and analyses from CRI to identify potential trials for PACT and immunotherapy combinations suitable for testing in Lung-MAP.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"btnArrow\" href=\"\/news\/2018\/fnih-cri-landscape-intelligence-collaboration\">Learn more about the FNIH-CRI collaboration<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Symposium<\/h3>\n<p>The 2019 CSC Symposium will be held on November 4 and 5 at the Bethesda Marriott.<\/p>\n<h3>Symposium Goals<\/h3>\n<p>Discuss cutting edge science, including projects supported by the FNIH BC.<br \/>\nInform the field of the latest developments in critical areas of biomarker science.<br \/>\nGuide CSC decision making and project planning.<\/p>\n<h3>Symposium Results &amp; Accomplishments<\/h3>\n<p>Demonstrating the diversity of the biomarker science discussed, the previous years&#39; agendas showcased projects across the ecosystem of precision medicine and biomarker development, including MRD, liquid biopsy, novel imaging improvement, cell-free RNA and DNA research, and immuno-oncology. Cross-disease analysis of non-cancer biomarker initiatives also provided discussion to assess approaches for collaboration across the field of medicine. <a
