The Cancer Research Institute (CRI) Associate Board is a group of young leaders dedicated to CRI and its mission to advance cancer immunotherapy research. The Answer to Cancer Cycling Event is the board’s signature indoor cycling studio event to collectively raise funds for a Future Immune to Cancer™ during Cancer Immunotherapy Month.<\/p>\n

All donations will be matched 1:1 up to $300,000 as part of CRI’s spring fundraising campaign.<\/p>\n

Fundraising Requirements<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Raise a minimum of $250<\/strong> (corporate matches can be included).
\nFor every additional $250 raised, you can “bring a friend” for free.<\/p>\n

Shoe rental and one smoothie are included with registration (check the SWERVE Bar menu<\/a>).<\/p>\n

About SWERVE<\/h4>\n

At SWERVE, indoor cycling meets team competition.<\/p>\n

Whether you come alone or with friends, the team dynamic keeps you motivated, supported, and accountable, without ever singling you out. Class is a 45-minute rhythm ride and the bikes are arranged into three teams (Red, Green, and Blue), so when you get on your bike, you'll meet your teammates.<\/p>\n

Tracking your bike’s metrics during the ride shows you how hard you're pushing yourself and how much you’ve improved since your last ride, allowing you to set and achieve concrete goals. While only you can see your personal metrics, the teams' overall scores are shown on TVs in the room.<\/p>\n

As your team’s average SWERVE Score builds throughout class, the scoreboards show you how your team compares to the competition, giving you the extra motivation to take it up a notch. When you work for your team, you work harder. And when you work harder, you see results.<\/p>\n

“For those who are inspired by group fitness, SWERVE in New York City is the ultimate go-to. Members are split into three groups—red, green, and blue—to take on sprints, hills, and upper body exercises on bikes. Riders can view their personal metrics on the bike console and even have it emailed to them later.
