{"id":11390,"date":"2022-07-01T20:35:49","date_gmt":"2022-07-02T00:35:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cancerresearch.org\/event\/national-cancer-survivors-day-2018\/"},"modified":"2022-07-14T15:39:22","modified_gmt":"2022-07-14T19:39:22","slug":"national-cancer-survivors-day-2018","status":"publish","type":"cri_events","link":"https:\/\/www.cancerresearch.org\/es\/events\/national-cancer-survivors-day-2018","title":{"rendered":"National Cancer Survivors Day 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>National Cancer Survivors Day&reg; is an annual celebration of life that is held on the first Sunday in June.&nbsp;Thousands gather to honor cancer survivors and to show the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be fruitful and rewarding.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>National Cancer Survivors Day&reg; is&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a celebration for those who have survived,<\/li>\n<li>an inspiration for those recently diagnosed,<\/li>\n<li>a gathering of support for families, and<\/li>\n<li>an outreach to the community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This day provides an opportunity for all people living with a history of cancer&mdash;including America&rsquo;s more than 15.5 million cancer survivors&mdash;to connect with each other, celebrate milestones, and recognize those who have supported them along the way. It is also a day to draw attention to the ongoing challenges of cancer survivorship in order to promote more resources, research, and survivor-friendly legislation to improve cancer survivors&rsquo; quality of life.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On&nbsp;National Cancer Survivors Day, we are encouraging people to make a donation in honor of a loved one.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"btn
