However, only 3-6% of cancer patients enroll in clinical trials, meaning that many miss out on potentially lifesaving treatments.<\/p>\n<p>In this webinar, Leena Gandhi, MD, PhD, covers important issues that patients need to know about these valuable trials, including how patients can find trials that are right for them specifically, the differences between the various phases, and expectations regarding logistics and eligibility criteria.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Gandhi is the director of Thoracic Medical Oncology at the NYU Langone Medical Center, as well as an associate professor of medicine at the NYU Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Cancer Center. She is also a member of CRI&rsquo;s global clinical investigator network.<\/p>\n<p>This webinar is part of the Cancer Research Institute&#39;s webinar series, &quot;Cancer Immunotherapy and You,&quot; which are offered free to the public and feature informative updates for patients and caregivers from leaders in cancer immunotherapy, followed by a Q&amp;A.
