On June 13, 2013, she discussed some of the latest breakthroughs, ongoing challenges, and next steps for the field.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Jaffee currently serves as the co-director of the Division of Immunology, and co-leader of the Gastrointestinal Cancers Program in the Department of Oncology and the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins. She is also the associate director for Translational Research at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins. She established and directs the Johns Hopkins Oncology Center Cell Processing and Gene Therapy cGMP Facility. She is also a deputy director for the Institute for Translational and Clinical Research at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her role is to develop translational programs and Core Resources to facilitate moving novel concepts into first in man clinical testing. Dr. Jaffee holds 6 vaccine patents, has been the laboratory principal investigator on 11 clinical studies for which she has been elucidating the immunologic responses to vaccine therapies in patients
