Jacques Nordeman is Chairman and Co-Founder of Nordeman Grimm, a premier executive search firm in New York City. His experience spans over three decades and includes recruiting for major leadership positions in financial services and private equity businesses, consumer products and services companies, and in the consulting and non-profit industries. Mr. Nordeman was selected as a Top 100 recruiter in the U.S., and received the Eleanor Reynolds Award for “Excellence in Executive Search and Volunteerism”.
Throughout his career Mr. Nordeman has served on a number of boards, including The March of Dimes of New York (Past President), the New York Chapter of the Nature Conservancy, Union Theological Seminary, the Manhattan Theatre Club, and the Harvard Business School Alumni Board. Mr. Nordeman currently serves on the Safari Energy Board, Round Hill Music Advisory Board, The Metropolitan Museum of Art Business Committee, The Harvard Business School Club of New York Board, and The Advisory Board of The Jazz Foundation of America. A former CRI president (1986-1991), Mr. Nordeman joined the CRI board in 1982 and has served as a vice chairman since 1992.
Other activities include twenty years as the Managing Partner of a successful alternative asset fund, and ten years as a Partner in a venture capital company. Mr. Nordeman also served as a Program Advisor for a multi-billion dollar philanthropy, and as a Senior Advisor to two Private Wealth Management organizations.
Mr. Nordeman has also been active on Broadway, producing three musicals including the hit Sophisticated Ladies. An avid golfer, he was a Governor of Shinnecock Hills Golf Club for over 30 years and was Chairman of the 2004 United States Open. He is a traditional jazz buff, still plays the drums, and, over the course of his career, played in a number of Dixieland Jazz Bands. Mr. Nordeman served in the Navy as an Officer of The Deck aboard an aircraft carrier in the Pacific. He is a graduate of Colgate University and Harvard Business School.
