Dr. Elizabeth M. Jaffee is the deputy director of the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center as well as the associate director of the Bloomberg~Kimmel Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Jaffee also serves on the National Cancer Moonshot Blue Ribbon Panel.

She has extensive experience in the development of cancer immunotherapies, especially vaccines for breast and pancreatic tumors, and has also made many important contributions in both the lab and the clinic, which earned her the 20th annual AACR-Joseph H. Burchenal Award for Outstanding Achievement in Clinical Cancer Research. Her current work continues to focus on characterizing the mechanisms that enable immune responses against cancer.

In addition to being a member of CRI’s Scientific Advisory Council, Dr. Jaffee serves on the CLIP Grant Review Committee and is also member of CRI’s Clinical Leadership Committee.
