Caroline is associate director of patient engagement at the Cancer Research Institute. In this role, she develops marketing and communications strategies to grow and connect CRI’s community of patients and caregivers. Her responsibilities include programming and running the CRI Immunotherapy Patient Summit Series; establishing educational partnerships and overseeing outreach; producing patient videos; and creating educational material related to cancer immunotherapy.
Prior to joining CRI, Caroline produced healthcare communications content for hospitals and nonprofits, including patient and caregiver education materials (informed consent/decision-making aids), broadcast media (ad campaigns), and CME courses (palliative care). In this work, she is dedicated to finding ways to employ patient experiences to reconceptulaize compassionate healthcare and strengthen the bridge of communication between the public and professionals.
Caroline Offit graduated from Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies and holds a Master of Science in Narrative Medicine from Columbia University.
