Lynne Harmer is director of grants administration and special events, a title she has held since 1995. She joined the Cancer Research Institute in 1989. 

Lynne currently manages CRI’s $30 million annual research budget and has overseen the administration of more than 1,700 research grants, totaling more than $360 million in single and multi-year awards to investigators at institutions in the U.S. and around the world. In addition, she acts as a liaison to the CRI Scientific Advisory Council, helping to facilitate their role as stewards of CRI’s scientific mission.

As director of special events, she oversees and executes all fundraising events and scientific meetings, including its annual gala and Through the Kitchen party. In addition, she has coordinated CRI’s International Cancer Immunotherapy Conference since its inception in 1992, working closely with CRI’s scientific leadership, planning committee members, and speakers. 

Lynne graduated from St. John’s University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.
