Brian M. Brewer is director of marketing and communications for the Cancer Research Institute. In this role, he helps the organization convey the impact of its research programs and CRI's ongoing role in the discovery and development of immunotherapies to treat a variety of cancers. He also oversees CRI's Answer to Cancer Patient Education Program, which provides up-to-date information on cancer immunotherapy and clinical trials for patients and caregivers. Prior to this role, he was the grants program administrator at CRI from 2001-2006. From 1998-2000, he was assistant to the chief executive officer.
Brian graduated from Brandeis University with a B.A. in Theater Arts, cum laude, and holds a Master of Public Administration from NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
I love CRI's focus on unleashing the immune system to fight cancer—it's fascinating science that is saving lives. It's so rewarding to meet and share the stories of patients who have benefited from immunotherapy, and to see those stories help other patients discover this new approach to cancer treatment.
