The Cancer Research Institute hosted the 19th meeting in its International Immunotherapy Symposia Series on October 3-5, 2011, at the Millennium Conference Center in New York City. Approximately 418 immunologists and tumor immunologists from more than 200 academic institutions and biotech or pharmaceutical companies around the world attended. The meeting, entitled Immune Effector Mechanisms in Tumor Immunity, included a series of plenary lectures by leading cancer immunologists and a poster session that was open to all attendees.
