New York State Assembly Resolution Declaring June Cancer Immunotherapy Awareness Month
On June 5, 2013, the New York State Assembly passed a resolution to memorialize New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to declare June 2013 Cancer Immunotherapy Awareness Month. Assemblyman Alec Brook-Krasny (D-46th Assembly District) sponsored the resolution, which was co-sponsored by 58 other Assembly members. The resolution was adopted unanimously. A New York State Senate version of the resolution sponsored by Senator Diane Savino (D-23rd Senate District) was also adopted. The resolution will be signed by Governor Cuomo. This video shows the introduction of Cancer Research Institute CEO and director of scientific affairs, Jill O'Donnell-Tormey, Ph.D., and introduction of the resolution by Assemblyman Brook-Krasny. Assemblywomen Earlene Hooper (D-18th Assembly District) and Annette Robinson (D-56th Assembly District) also voiced their support for the resolution.
