Cancer Vaccine Showing Promise in Ovarian Cancer Trials

Cancer Research Institute investigator Dr. Kunle Odunsi, a member of the CRI/LICR Cancer Vaccine Collaborative, discusses how his ovarian cancer vaccine helps to boost the immune response against cancers that carry the NY-ESO-1 protein marker.

Ovarian cancer survivor Christine Sable, who received Dr. Odunsi's vaccine in a CRI-funded cancer vaccine clinical trial, shares her experiences as someone battling a deadly form of cancer and how her decision to participate in the CRI/LICR Cancer Vaccine Collaborative clinical trial at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute not only is helping to keep her alive, but is also adding to the knowledge scientists are gathering about the immune system and its response to cancer.
