At age 22, Sharon Belvin learned she had a deadly form of skin cancer (metastatic melanoma) that had spread throughout her body. Treatment with an experimental immunotherapy, an antibody called ipilimumab, saved her life. The Cancer Research Institute is dedicating to harnessing the power of the immune system to treat, control, and prevent cancer. With more support, we can help to create new immunotherapies like the one Sharon received to help save the lives of more patients with cancer.
