Third Annual Midsummer Social of the CRI Young Philanthropists
Tenjune, NYC - August 10, 2010

The Cancer Research Institute Young Philanthropists hosted their Third Annual Midsummer Social to support the Institute’s mission to advance the next wave of cancer treatment.

More than 250 guests joined the YPs at Tenjune for 2 hours of premium open bar, spinning from guest DJ Turk, and a contest including awesome prizes like: a Bumble and Bumble product basket, Arbitrage shirt and tie, Coach purse, week-long timeshare at Hacienda Encantada resort in Cabo San Lucas, Ralph Lauren cashmere throw blanket, signed sports jersey, Broadway show tickets, and more. An hour-long, exclusive VIP reception and table service were also offered at a premium.

CRI Young Philanthropists chair Alexis Feldman and vice chair Marissa Schneider welcomed and thanked everyone for participating in the event, which raised $18,000 to support CRI's scientific programs. Executive Director Jill O'Donnell-Tormey, Ph.D., was on hand to give a few words about the importance of CRI's mission to advance the next wave of cancer treatments -- immunotherapies that harness the power of the immune system to treat, control, and prevent cancer.
