The 19th annual Cancer Immunotherapy Symposium, “Immune Effector Mechanisms in Tumor Immunity,” was held October 3-5, 2011 at the Millennium Conference Center in New York City. Approximately 418 immunologists and tumor immunologists from more than 200 academic institutions and biotech or pharmaceutical companies from around the world attended the meeting, which focused on activation, suppression, and regulation in the experimental and clinical settings.  The meeting also featured a poster session with presentations by 160 scientists.
