Adam Kolom developed and currently serves as managing director of the Cancer Vaccine Acceleration Fund (CVAF), a philanthropist-backed venture capital fund that invests in the early stage development of promising new cancer immunotherapies in partnership with leading nonprofit research institutions and for-profit biopharma companies.
Prior to founding CVAF, Adam was a member of the healthcare investment team at $17Bn growth equity fund General Atlantic in New York, a management consultant at McKinsey & Company in London and Connecticut, and an investment banker at UBS in Los Angeles. Adam graduated with honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in finance and economics.
Adam has watched eight members of his immediate and extended family battle cancer, both with and without success, and is passionate about helping to better bridge the clinical research capabilities of the for-profit and nonprofit sectors to speed up development of more effective treatments.
