Employer Matching Gift Programs

Many companies set aside philanthropic dollars and allocate those funds through matching gift programs. These programs allow employees (and oftentimes retirees, spouses, and directors) of the company to make a contribution to a non-profit organization which is then matched by a corporate gift. Matching levels vary from one company to another, but regardless of the match percentage, these gifts represent a significant source of funds for the Cancer Research Institute.

Although procedures for matching gift programs vary, matching gift forms are usually obtained through the employer's human resource office. The employee sends the signed form with a check made payable to the Cancer Research Institute. The rest is handled by CRI and the employer.
