Conquering cancer begins with you.

Sharon Belvin and baby LilianWith your help, researchers at top medical centers and universities around the world can continue to receive crucial funding support from CRI to keep their groundbreaking work moving forward.

In the laboratory, basic discoveries are increasing our understanding of the immune system and its response to cancer.  In the clinic, cancer patients participating in clincal trials are helping us to learn the best and most effective ways to mobilize our own immune systems to fight cancer.

Immune-based approaches to cancer treatment, prevention, and control are becoming a reality and bringing new hope to cancer patients, thanks to the help of CRI donors.

You, too, can be part of the next great advance in cancer medicine.

There are many ways to support CRI.  Click here to learn how.

A charity you can trust

The Cancer Research Institute is the recognized leader in supporting and coordinating the research of immunological approaches to preventing, controlling, or treating cancer. We’re also a well-established 501(c)(3) charitable organization with a strong record of fiscal responsibility. You can view our most recent financial statements on this site.

Watchdog and consumer protection groups consistently rate CRI among America's top charities.

Generous gifts, wise investments

We turn donated dollars into selectively awarded
fellowships and grants that recognize and nourish the educational training and research efforts of top scientists. Their projects range from individual investigations to collaborative efforts, from laboratory studies to clinical trials. Your donation can help our investigators pay for laboratory personnel, equipment and supplies, or other needs.

CRI funds also go toward conferences for CRI scientists as well as educational events for donors, patients and the public.

Donations to CRI are deductible for federal or state tax purposes as allowed by law. Planned giving can offer other tax advantages as well.

You can choose to have your donation allocated to a specific type of research, or to a specific geographic region (e.g., the Northeast). Or you can also ask us to direct the funds to where they are needed most.

We recognize donors in our annual reports and profile them in our publications and Real Stories series. If you prefer, we can keep your donation anonymous.

Giving methods to fit your needs

Because we appreciate every donation, we offer different ways for you to give:

  1. Cash gifts: The most convenient way to give to CRI.  You can donate online or by phone with your credit card, or you can mail a check to us made payable to "Cancer Research Institute."
  2. Memorial & tribute gifts: Donating to cancer research in memory of a loved one, in support of another's courageous battle with cancer, or in honor of any occasion can be a thoughtful and appropriate way to remember others.
  3. Employer matching gifts: Employer matching gift programs can increase your giving to CRI by double or more. Our convenient employer MatchFinder will allow you to see if your employer matches your charitable donations.
  4. Property or securities donations: Gifts of real estate, stocks, bonds, and other securities can be of significant benefit to our programs while also providing you tax advantages.
  5. Car and other vehicle donations: Donate an old car or vehicle (boat, campers, etc.).  We'll arrange to have your vehicle picked up, and the proceeds from the sale of your used vehicle will benefit our research programs.
  6. Planned giving options: Naming CRI in your will or estate plans, including charitable annuities and trusts as well as life insurance and retirement plan gifts, can offer both you and CRI significant financial advantages.
  7. Workplace giving: Employees can provide ongoing support through regular payroll deductions, especially if their companies provide matching gifts.
