Participate in an Athletic Event

Our goal here at the Cancer Research Institute is to never stop fighting cancer with life-saving immunotherapies. We know that one day soon we’ll cross that finish line that marks the end of cancer by fueling the development of smarter and safer immune-based treatments for all patients. You can help us accomplish that by running, biking, swimming, or participating in any other athletic event for CRI.

Make any endurance race your fundraising event by joining one or hosting your own local athletic event within your community. Community fundraisers have raised substantial funds in the past by dedicating to run for CRI in marathons such as the ING NYC Marathon, Bank of America Chicago Marathon, San Francisco Marathon, and Portland Marathon. Others have hiked the Grand Canyon, hosted golf challenges, or biked across America in memory of loved ones to support CRI and cancer immunotherapy research. Get your high school’s basketball team to hold a fundraising tournament, or neighbors involved in a night of bowling—whatever you do, don’t forget to have fun!

You can also gain entry to one of CRI’s participating marathons as a member of Team CRI. Through these events, runners agree to raise funds for the Cancer Research Institute and, in exchange, secure a slot in one of several high-profile U.S. marathons. CRI will also provide fundraising support, team-building activities, prizes, and other incentives to participants. Click here to view our list of upcoming marathons that you can register for.
