"Through the Kitchen" is one of New York City's favorite annual events, founded 29 years ago as a benefit for the Irvington Institute for Immunological Research and now supporting the Irvington Fellowship Program of the Cancer Research Institute

Cancer Research Institute Celebrates the 29th Annual
THROUGH THE KITCHEN DINNER at THE FOUR SEASONS

"Through the Kitchen" – which the New York Times called one of the year's ‘most memorable parties’ – is the only charity event that invites guests to walk through the legendary kitchen of The Four Seasons restaurant. From cocktails in the Grill Room to a spectacularly decorated dinner in the Pool Room, “Through the Kitchen” surprises, entertains, and delights guests. A live auction and dessert buffet cap the festive evening before the night's conclusion.

This celebrated New York City event took place on Sunday, April 17, 2011. The theme, "Notable New Yorkers," was brilliantly executed by famed party designer DeJuan Stroud, with tables based on New York City's most cherished (and, in one or two instances, loathed) personalities, including: Bette Midler, Liza Minnelli, Andy Warhol, Alex Rodriguez, Bobby Flay, Tony Bennett, Martha Stewart, John Gotti, Joey Buttafuoco, Woody Allen, and more. The 2011 event raised $692,000 to support the Irvington Fellowship Program of the Cancer Research Institute.
