"Through the Kitchen" is one of New York City's favorite annual events, founded 27 years ago as a benefit for the Irvington Institute for Immunological Research and now supporting the Irvington Fellowship Program of the Cancer Research Institute.
Each year, guests of the event gather just outside the famous kitchen of The Four Seasons restaurant for cocktails and conversation. They are then invited to walk "Through the Kitchen" as they load up their plates with delicious gourmet food, sampling surf, turf, and everything in between. Spectacular, theme-decorated tables await await guests in the dining room on the other side of the kitchen. A live auction and dessert buffet cap the evening before the event's conclusion. It's a lot of fun, and it's all for a good cause.
