Conquering cancer — through expanded research, applied knowledge, coordinated partnerships, and community commitment — is the focus of everything we do at the Cancer Research Institute.
Since our founding in 1953, we have provided more than $175 million in financial support to more than 2,800 of the world’s brightest scientists. These pioneering investigators have used this funding — made possible by generous CRI donors — to conduct laboratory studies, build research teams, and launch clinical trials.
With every research project we fund, CRI helps to advance immunology and pioneer new methods for diagnosing, treating and preventing cancer.
We offer support for scientists at any stage of their career and at levels of scientific inquiry, from basic research to coordinated clinical trials. We also sponsor scientific conferences, recognize community leaders who have made a positive impact on cancer research, and connect patients to clinical trial information and educational resources.
