Building community and fostering interaction and collaboration among the Consortium members and the greater oncology community are central to achieving the Cancer Immunotherapy Consortium's ultimate goal of accelerating the movement of effective cancer immunotherapies into the clinic as part of the standard-of-care for cancer patients. To that end, the CIC offers a number of opportunities for member organizations to meet face-to-face and establish new relationships with one another at meetings and conferences designed to facilitate this process. This networking and exchange of practical information is further enhanced through the distribution of publications that result from these meetings.

In complement to the ongoing Consortium colloquia and annual meetings is the Cancer Research Institute International Symposia Series, a powerful annual gathering of the world's leading academic research scientists and clinicians working in the fields of immunology and tumor immunology. The CRI International Symposia Series has served as the seminal arena for sharing of data and ideas in the areas of antibody therapy of cancer and cancer vaccines. The meeting has more recently sought to build cross-field dialogue between the cancer immunotherapy and the HIV vaccine research fields.
