Peter L. Bloom is a managing director at General Atlantic LLC, where he has worked since 1996. Mr. Bloom's extensive background working with technology gives him a unique perspective in advising portfolio companies. He is based in the Greenwich office and assists the CEOs and senior management teams of portfolio companies globally. He is also responsible for technology assessments of the investment prospects as well as providing guidance on emerging technology trends.

Prior to joining General Atlantic, Mr. Bloom spent thirteen years at Salomon Brothers where he was most recently the managing director of the company's U.S. Technology Division. He graduated from Northwestern University in 1978 with a B.A. in computer studies and economics.

Mr. Bloom is a member of the New York Electronic Crimes Task Force, Business Executives for National Security, the Information Technology Advisory Board of the New School for Social Research, a judge for the Lemelson-MIT Invention Awards Program, and the British Petroleum Digital and Communications Technology Advisory Board. In 1992, he was the recipient of the Achievement in Managing Information Technology Award, sponsored by Carnegie Mellon University and American Management Systems, for his work managing the technology implementation of distributed computing throughout Salomon Brothers.

Mr. Bloom has served on several public, private and non-profit boards. He is currently the chairman of two charitable boards, DonorsChoose and Peak Rescue, as well as a board member of The Food Bank for New York City.

Mr. Bloom joined the CRI Board of Trustees in 2005.
