Sharon Slade is the director of strategic initiatives for the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) and leads corporate engagement, sponsorship, and new strategic programming for CRI. Sharon leads the strategy and programming for Cancer Immunotherapy Month, an awareness building month held in June.
Prior to working at CRI, Sharon served in a number of executive marketing roles, including U.S. vice president of marketing and training for CHANEL’s Fashion Division, global vice president of marketing and strategy for St. Regis Hotels & Resorts (STARWOOD), and chief marketing officer for Bleachers, an early stage technology company offering live and on-demand subscriptions of private school athletics, concerts, and community events. Sharon also has extensive consulting experience in brand strategy, innovation, and customer engagement.
Sharon currently serves as the chairman of Davidson College’s Parent Council, a fundraising and community-building organization. She has been a council member for four years and is actively involved in the "Game Changers" capital campaign.
Ms. Slade graduated with a B.A. degree in English from Colgate University in 1979 and received an M.B.A. from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College in 1983.
